Beyond Burnout: Rethinking Workplace Wellness for Lasting Impact

Description:

Burnout is often treated as an individual wellbeing issue, with organizations investing in programs designed to help employees better manage stress, build resilience or adopt healthier habits. But employee wellbeing is also shaped by the environment people work in every day.

Workload, manager capability, role design, psychological safety, change fatigue and organizational culture all influence an employee’s capacity to perform and stay engaged.

In this session, Mandy King, Founder and CEO of HEAL, explores how HR leaders can move beyond symptom-focused wellness initiatives and take a more integrated approach to organizational health. Drawing on more than a decade of experience working with organizations across North America, Mandy will share a practical framework for identifying the workplace conditions contributing to burnout and disengagement, evaluating where current wellbeing strategies may be falling short, and determining where HR and leadership can have the greatest impact.

Participants will leave with practical tools to assess organizational health, engage senior leaders in the conversation, and build workplace strategies that support employee wellbeing and sustainable performance.
